SIMI VALLEY, CALIFORNIA - February 25, 2017: A rally in support of President Donald Trump was held at the intersection of Cochran street and Sycamore street in Simi Valley, Calif., on a cloudy Saturday afternoon. About 70-80 people participated, both for and against Trump.
Lea Williams planned the event through Facebook. Similar demonstrations were held across the USA and the purpose was to show support to our current president in a peaceful demonstration. Another rally is scheduled for March 4, 2017, from 1-3 p.m. at Main Street and Mills Road in Ventura, Calif.
A small group of anti-Trump protesters showed up to make their voices and opinions heard. One anti-Trump protestor became a huge nuisance by yelling profanities at the opposition and kept repeating “F*** Trump, F*** Fascism” and tried to instigate a fight.
Trump supporters took over the side walks and corners, walking to each section every few minutes. They held signs that showed support for Trump, waved U.S. flags, and greeted passerby's and waved at cars at the busy intersection. Many of the vehicles honked their horns, would shout and gesture in support or against trump.
The event was supposed to end at 3 p.m. but participants on both sides were still at the intersection. Due to some of the anti-Trump protestors who became a nuisance, the police appeared to insure that the peace was kept as the demonstration slowly dissipated.
